9.7 years?

The Copenhagen City Heart Study

An extensive scientific study was conducted in Denmark which followed 8577 people for up to 25 years. The remarkable results were published by Mayo Clinic in 2018 - with the overwhelming conclusion that racket sports increased life expectancy in individuals far more than any other sport.

Furthermore, even within racket sports, tennis was the clear "winner", adding 9.7 years on average to someone living a sedentary lifestyle, with Badminton coming in next at 6.2 years.

The message couldn't be clearer. The best way to live longer is to play tennis!
